Mary Margaret Kastelberg

Investment Management Director

Mary Margaret is responsible for a variety of aspects of the investment management process of the firm including asset allocation, risk management, investment research and product development. She works closely with the managing partner in managing client investment portfolios. She is FINRA registered with Series 7 (General Securities Representative), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination), and 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination) licenses.

Previously, Mary Margaret was a senior vice president and portfolio manager for Resource Mortgage Capital and Saxon Mortgage Securities Corporation with responsibility for managing, financing and handling $2.5 billion portfolio of mortgages, mortgage backed securities and mortgage derivative securities. She also worked as a vice president for Ewing Monroe Bemiss and Company, a regional investment banking firm specializing in mergers, acquisitions and private placements of debt and equity.

An active participant in the community, Mary Margaret, is past Chair of the Board of Commonwealth Catholic Charities, a member of the Benedictine Education Foundation Board, a former member of the finance committee at St. Bridget School, past president of the St. Catherine’s Alumnae Association, past treasurer of the Tuckahoe Woman’s Club and a volunteer at the Little Sisters of the Poor.

A 1985 graduate of Princeton University with an AB degree in politics, Mary Margaret went on to earn an MBA, finance concentration, from UVA’s Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. She resides in the west end of Richmond, with her husband Gene and two children – daughter Bridget and son Gene III and Louie, her dog. In her spare time, she enjoys golf, reading, needlepoint, and Hokie football.
