Chris Hamner

Chris brings a rare blend of discipline, precision, and educational expertise to the day-to-day operations of Alpha Wealth. Chris specializes in the administration of 401(k) plans, ensuring seamless execution and compliance for our corporate partners.

Before transitioning to the financial sector, Chris spent nearly a decade as a professional baseball umpire in the Minor Leagues, notably officiating the inaugural Richmond Flying Squirrels game. His subsequent career in education and as an Athletic Director at St. Edward-Epiphany honed the leadership and organizational skills he utilizes today.

Chris remains invested in the Richmond area, volunteering his time to train the next generation of youth umpires and coaching basketball at Blessed Sacrament Huguenot, where he was Coach of The Year during the 2025/2026 season.

Chris earned his Master’s in Special Education and Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Phoenix. He resides in Midlothian with his wife and their three children.
